Good Morning Britain news presenter Kate Garraway recently revealed that she appointed a cook to prepare a full-time Christmas meal. She hired the cook to take care of her husband Derek Draper, 55, who is suffering from COVID-19. Derek, who is a well-known political lobbyist, returned home after undergoing treatment in a hospital for Covid. Garraway expressed her happiness over her husband’s discharge from the hospital. “It was the biggest gift and everything suddenly feels perfect.” Garraway said. She said it had been a long battle to bring Derek home and accommodate her new role as a caregiver. “The children are equally delighted and have decorated their father’s home on the festive occasion,” she said.
Draper suffered from Covid in 2020 and has still not recuperated completely. Two years after being infected with the virus, he developed sepsis.
