The lineup for Glastonbury Festival 2023 is official. Apart from Sir Elton John, Artic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses have been revealed as Glastonbury's last two headliners.

Festival organisers unveiled 55 artists on Friday, and hundreds more are anticipated to be added in the upcoming months.

Despite Roxy Music being widely rumored, Yusuf/Cat Stevens will play on Sunday afternoon at the "tea time legends" slot.


The veteran folk-rocker follows in the traditions of musicians like Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue, and Diana Ross. She is best known for her records from the 1970s.

While there is anticipation for the lineup, the festival has drawn criticism for not booking female musicians for the headlining spots.

Also, out of the 55 names that have been revealed so far in the partial lineup release, 53% are men.

Festival director Emily Eavis stated that she continues to "completely absorbed with paying off our debt. It concerns all facets of diversity, not only gender ".

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid will headline the Other stage on Friday, and 43 per cent of the lineup's 55 artists are non-white or have non-white members.

American rockers Guns N' Roses will be joining the roster, and Eavis, who co-organises the event with her father Michael, expressed her enthusiasm over this.

On Friday night, Arctic Monkeys, who just dropped their seventh album The Car, will play the last set on the Pyramid Stage for the third time.

Lizzo, who has shared headline billing on the line-up poster, will perform just before.

Due to the fact that it is his final UK performance of his farewell tour, Sir Elton is likely to bring sizable audiences to his headlining role on Sunday night.
