Glastonbury 2023: Robbie Williams wants to go for legends slot

In honour of his 25th anniversary as an artiste, the 48-year-old said he is satisfied with the progress and is looking forward to returning to Glasto, but as a legend.

With spiky pale blonde hair, dark sunglasses, and a very light orange-brown tan, Robbie performed at one of Glastonbury's wettest festivals in 1998.

Robbie said he would love to perform for the crowd again at Worthy Farm as part of the Legends slot at Glastonbury.


In response to footage of Mel C saying the Spice Girls would be the 'absolute dream, the Angels singer quipped that there is no contest between The Spice Girls and Robbie Williams, so he might have to wait a bit longer.

Glastonbury, he said, is the epicentre of the music industry. Everyone is watching what's going on.

The XXV album is the culmination of Robbie's successful solo career. The album includes orchestral arrangements of his greatest hits, including Angels, Let Me Entertain You and Millennium. He said the period between 16 and 21 was probably his best professional period. His remarks come after rumours that the Spice Girls will headline Glastonbury 2023.

Reports say the other girls want her to join the Worthy Farm flock next year. It was at the London Olympics closing ceremony in 2012 that Victoria last performed with the group. Sources in the music industry claim next year's Glasto gig is in "advanced" discussions with or without her.

They're a legendary band that rarely plays Glastonbury, but they'll be a lot of fun.
