Former Footballer John Fashanu, along with actor and DJ Patsy Palmer, has been confirmed as the second contender for ITV's Dancing On Ice. The news comes only one day after ITV revealed that former EastEnders actor DJ Patsy Palmer would be changing her Malibu, California, home for the ice rink.

John Fashanu expressed his excitement to be a part of Dancing on Ice, and he believes it will come as no surprise to fans that he is highly competitive and wants to win.

John Fashanu also stated that this may be one of the scariest things he has ever signed up for.

John Fashanu is no stranger to challenging duties, having played for Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Wimbledon as a center-forward.

John Fashanu co-hosts Gladiators in the 1990s before coaching his Sunday league football team on Bravo between 2003 and 2004.

This year, 11 celebrities will face the ultimate test, completing a series of tough dance maneuvers on the ice to wow the famed judging panel and millions of fans at home.

Patsy Palmer discussed her impending skating stint with This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield earlier this week. She told the hosts she couldn't believe she was the first contestant announced.
