George R.R. Martin is yet to play Elden Ring because he is busy writing 'Winds of Winter'

George R.R. Martin is too busy working on his next Game of Thrones book and says he has not yet played Elden Ring. He is one of the prime creators of the popular game Elden Ring.

In an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Martin revealed that previously he lost a lot of his free time playing Railroad Tycoon, Homeworld, and Master of Orion. So now he must maintain a distance from games while working.





The Winds of Winter is Martin's next planned novel in the epic fantasy A Song of Ice and Fire series. It was used in HBO's popular series Game of Thrones. He believes Elden Ring might entangle him, eventually distracting him from completing his long-awaited The Winds of Winter.

In his blog, although Martin mentioned his contribution to Elden Ring as 'just worldbuilding', he is proud of his work in the game and admitted that he was honoured to be a part of the epic game.

The game fans have observed that Martin uses his initials for the names of the game's lead bosses, as each of the demigod's names starts with R, G, or M. Martin denies this, saying that Elden ring is an exciting game and does not need made up stuff. He asks why he would hide his name in the game as he has his name on the game as one of the creators.
