Gangsta Boo found dead: Tributes paid to rapper and former 'Three 6 Mafia' member

2 Chainz and Lil Jon paid tribute to Gangsta Boo, a revolutionary rapper and longtime member of Memphis hip-hop band Three 6 Mafia, who passed away at 43.

Fox 13 revealed on Sunday that Gangsta Boo, whose actual name was Lola Mitchel, was found dead in Memphis. The reason for death has not yet been revealed. DJ Paul, a collaborator, was one of the first to pay respect, posting a photo of her DJing on social media. Tributes from other musicians and celebrities poured in, with rapper 2 Chainz responding, "Mannnn," beside a sobbing emoji.

Lil Jon posted a statement on social media describing how he and the artist were together just a few weeks ago. "Rest well, Quenn," he said, followed by a prayer hands emoji.
