Freya Skye to be UK’s representative for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022

Freya Skye, a 13-year-old singer from Buckinghamshire, will perform her song "Lose My Head" at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2022. It is a passionate song about friendship, moving on, and let go of the past.

Freya acquired a passion for singing after getting a karaoke machine as a gift when she was five years old. During the lockdown, she utilised the time to release her debut single.

The teenager revealed that her parents took her to a London theatre under the guise of another audition. There, she was startled by Lucie Jones, a West End performer and former Eurovision UK participant, who informed her that she had been chosen to represent the United Kingdom.



Freya said she couldn’t believe it as it was unexpected for her. She’s still processing that she’ll be representing the UK. She considers herself fortunate to have been given a chance.
