Former Dallas Cowboys player Gavin Escobar dead at 31 after rock-climbing accident

Gavin Escobar has died in a rock climbing accident not far from the Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout in Southern California. The Dallas Cowboys are grieving the loss of a former teammate.

On Wednesday, two rock climbers were injured at Tahquitz Rock in Idyllwild, according to authorities. They claim that when they got to the scene, they saw that both victims were already dead. Chelsea Walsh, a 33-year-old hiker, and Gavin Escobar, one of the hikers, Didn't immediately disclose the precise causes of death. Authorities said that they were looking at everything.

Gavin Escobar, who played for San Diego State from 2010 to 2013, was a standout player before getting selected by the Cowboys in the NFL Draft. Gavin Escobar played for Dallas for four more seasons, during which he amassed eight touchdowns.
