Chris Kamara has worked as a premium broadcaster in the United Kingdom for the last 24 years. But Kamara has decided to quit the company following his health problems. The footballer-turned-broadcaster has been diagnosed with speech apraxia, due to which he now struggles while talking, which is the core aspect of a broadcaster's job. In a podcast episode of The Diary of a CEO, Kamara said that he left Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday at the right time as he was now feeling uneasiness while delivering lines during broadcasts.

Kamara has not hung up his microphone entirely, as he can be seen in Ninja Warrior UK and other projects. He will still appear on the television screens for the BBC, ITV, and others. Kammy's colleagues and bosses say that Kamara may not be the same as earlier, but his charisma is still unmatched.

Speech Apraxia is a speaking disorder where someone finds it difficult to communicate with others. People suffering from speech apraxia know what they want to say, but they struggle to move their jaws, lips or tongues properly when their brains send the messages to the mouth. Unfortunately, there is no cure for speech apraxia as of now.
