Football legend Gary Lineker's brother Wayne Lineker joined the nation and celebrities from around the globe to respect the Queen who passed away on Thursday.
Wayne Lineker organised a tribute programme at his club in Ibiza, featuring bikini-clad female performers marching up and down the stage singing the national anthem.
Wayne’s Tribute
The event, which raised several eyebrows and kicked up enough controversy, started with six performers in red and black, perhaps to mimic the King's Guards,' marching up the stage to stand in front of the noisy crowd.
The co-owner of the club, Tony Truman, was on the mic telling the crowd that not only the British but everyone across the world acknowledged the Queen as one of the world's most extraordinary and iconic women.
The loudspeakers played God Save the Queen as a giant inflatable red bus (as a symbol of London) and a Mary Poppins balloon were seen floating above the crowd.
The scenario resembled revellers having fun rather than mourners paying tribute to a late monarch. Many from the crowd joined the lingerie-clad beefeaters in stark contrast to the tributes paid by significant personalities, including the one by Wayne's celebrity brother, Gary. Gary Lineker said in his tribute to a powerful and truly remarkable woman who served her country with dignity and grace.

A fan wrote: There is only one brother with a sense of self-respect. Another commented sarcastically that Wayne had reminded the authorities of his calibre with the extraordinary show, and perhaps he (Wayne) should now be asked to organise the official funeral. The girls in thongs can be excellent coffin bearers!
One more commented: "This (Wayne’s show) is the worst form of tribute I've ever seen."
