Next month, when he challenges kickboxing champion Liam Harrison, Floyd Mayweather will compete for the first time ever in the UK.
On February 25, the two will square off at The O2 venue in an exhibition match. On Instagram, Mayweather, 46, posted a confirmation of the information along with a photo of the event's London poster. "London February 25," he captioned the image. It's a done deal. At the O2 Arena, I'll be having my first exhibition bout ever in the UK. Next Monday, tickets go on sale. Keep an eye out!
Harrison, 37, a well-known Muay Thai fighter also known as "The Hitman," with a record of 90-25-2 and 50 knockouts.
Mayweather hasn't engaged in a competitive fight since defeating MMA icon Conor McGregor in Las Vegas in 2017 to improve his record to 50-0 overall. However, he has kept himself busy ever then, taking part in a number of exhibition fights against opponents including Logan Paul, Deji, and Mikuru Asakura.
Throughout his illustrious professional career, Mayweather never competed abroad, not even for his historic victory against Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas in December 2007.

Setting off a host of other high-profile animal adoptions, the former Indian pacer and ICC match refree adopted a jaguar, which was procured from Delhi's National Zoological Park, in 2010 at the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysore. Why? Maybe because he saw a bit of himself in the animal, especially his thirst for speed. "I adopted a jaguar because of its speed and mercurial action," Srinath was quoted as saying. The fast bowler paid the zoo Rs 35,000 for a year which covers the wildcat's upkeep fee.

The next stop on his exhibition tour would be Britain, he hinted earlier this month. He had said that in February they were looking forward to coming to the country and “putting on an exhibition” for the fans in the UK. At the time, he had also acknowledged that he “never” had the chance to come over here and fight when he was actively boxing as a professional. He added, “So if it's feasible, I'll come over and have an exhibition in February”.
In addition to his victory over Hatton, Mayweather, one of the most illustrious boxers in history, has defeated Manny Pacquiao, Oscar de la Hoya, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Marcos Maidana, and Juan Manuel Marquez.
