After an injury to the lead singer of the band, ‘Florence and the Machine’ have cancelled the rest of the shows left in the Ireland and UK leg of the tour.
Lead vocalist Florence Welch fractured her leg while dancing at London’s O2 Arena. The band was on their fourth date of the tour when the singer fell on stage.
Taking to Facebook, the singer wrote down an apology for the fans. An X-ray done on the leg showed that she was dancing on a broken leg all night. Further adding to the note, the star wrote that postponing or cancelling the show is the last thing she wants. But as a dancer, it is not good to continue putting pressure on the body.
She further added the fans should not discard their tickets. The show is being cancelled for now, but the management is making arrangements to reschedule dates.
