A huge pipe burst happened in London and caused flooding of streets. People are left with no clean running water in their houses. A video was shared online, which showed several houses and cars submerged in water. It can be seen that emergency services are on the site and trying to help the residents.

The pipe was under the care of Thames Water. Their engineers have been working on the site since morning to get the issue fixed. The pipe that burst in Belsize Road, NW6, is being repaired.

Slightly before 7 AM, Thames Water reported that a large pipe burst had occurred at Belsize Road, NW6. They are working with the emergency services to ensure residents are brought to safety. They also said their engineers arrived at the burst site around 4 AM. They have been trying to close the surrounding valves of the burst pipe so the water will stop flowing. The company sincerely apologized to their customers and other people who were affected due to the pipe burst.




Thames Water reported that the neighbouring areas of NW10, NW8, and NW2 could have less water pressure or no water at all until the issue is resolved.

The water company has decided that they will supply bottled water to their customers, who are most in need. The ones, who are in the most vulnerable circumstances will be given priority.

Camden Council is collecting resources to support the people whose homes are flooded and living in miserable situations.
