While everyday travelers find air travel to be highly convenient since it saves them time, it also comes with a lot of queues, frequent ID checks, and strict security management.

Air travel still entails a lot of inspections, delays, and hold-ups despite modest enhancements to the passenger experience.

Unfortunately, there's a genuine chance that things might get worse for British travellers before they get better, as the UK faces heavy air traffic every day.

Now, the recently conducted study about the queues reveals which airport has the worst queue lines. In order to conduct the study, researchers questioned roughly 1,300 travelers who left from a UK airport between February and August about how long they had waited in line for security.

The study reveals that, with 27% of the votes, Leeds Bradford airport in the UK has the worst security lines, with an estimated average wait time of 35 minutes.

On the other hand, London City Airport performed the best of the examined airports, with an estimated average wait time for the security of just 12 minutes. It was followed by Belfast City and Glasgow International, with an average wait time of 13 minutes.

At the airport, computerized panels with live updates on anticipated wait times were erected in August.

Travellers at nine airports, including Bristol (17% of respondents), Birmingham (11%), and Manchester (8%), reported standing in security lines for more than an hour. Only 7% of those polled reported missing a flight as a result of being stuck in a lengthy line.
Earlier this year, there was significant disruption at airports around the UK as a result of staffing issues and a rise in demand for travel after the removal of coronavirus restrictions. As a result, there were several airline cancellations, luggage handling issues, and lengthy security lines.
