This Morning fans were left outraged after the anchor shake-up led Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle to replace regular hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary. The displeasure of the fans was all over social media after an 'awkward' interview and the lack of 'atmosphere' in the studio.

According to media reports, TV pundits suggested that Josie and Craig failed to engage the audience from the very beginning. Viewers thought the pair appeared awkward while talking to a young guest, Tahlia, who had a robotic arm fitted. The child was born with a right arm, and the presenters encouraged the child to talk about her experience.

However, fans were unimpressed with the interview, which had plenty of silence. Some Twitters wrote that it felt uncomfortable to watch the interview, while some compared it to a train wreck. Fans expressed their disappointment with the new hosts and said they were expecting something better.

Some also compared them with the regular hosts and said Josie and Craig were nowhere near as good. One user wrote that it was painful to watch the show and said it was the most uncomfortable and awkward interview ever. Several netizens also demanded that the two hosts be taken off. Josie and Craig usually don’t take the stage on Fridays

The host shake-up itself has come under heavy criticism. However, there appear to be a lot of constraints for ITV after star presenters like Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield have taken time off for Christmas and are expected to return only for the New Year show. Their show on the big day will also be a pre-recorded one.
