Red Bull Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen continued his winning streak at British Grand Prix and recorded his sixth race win this season. It was the second British GP win as well. With this victory at Silverstone, the Dutch extended his driver’s lead in the championship to 255 points. He also raised the lead of Red Bull in the constructor’s championship to 411 points.

Verstappen has won nine of 11 Grand Prix and he may have the second winning streak when he participates in the Hungarian GP July 23.

McLaren driver Lando Norris finished second while Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton came third in the British GP. Praising Norris, Verstappen said he was excellent and did very well in the DRS but did not really fight.

Norris appears to be in a bad patch as his performance has not been good in June. He finished 17th in Spanish GP and 13th in the Canadian GP. He came fourth in Austria. Compared to this, he did better in British GP by pushing Lewis Hamilton to third place.

The McLaren driver said that it was an amazing fight with the Mercedes’ driver and he also bought the fight to Verstappen as long as he could. It was satisfying for Hamilton to have a podium finish at least compared to his eighth position at the Austrian GP.

He said, "I didn't do it... the crowd did it! Silverstone put on an amazing show, I felt the energy, I felt the support! I also want to say a big congratulations to Lando and McLaren - that's my family, that's where I first started.”
