Ex-Spain, Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is appointed as next head coach of Wolves

Bruno Lage's replacement at Molineux, Julen Lopetegui, fired by Sevilla in October, puts an end to the Wolves' protracted search for a manager. Last month, Wolves approached Julen Lopetegui, but the Spaniard declined the offer for personal reasons.

Former Real Madrid and Spain manager Julen Lopetegui has been named Wolves' next manager. Bruno Lage, fired on October 2 after winning only one of his final 15 games as manager, is succeeded by Lopetegui.

Julen Lopetegui will start working when he formally assumes leadership at Molineux on November 14, following the Wolves' last Premier League match before the World Cup against Arsenal.
Before Saturday's home game against Brighton, Steve Davis continues to serve as temporary manager.

According to Davis, this is a crucial appointment they have been working hard to secure. Just the fact that they were able to capture the individual makes me happy. He also mentioned that Julen would come at the end of the following week. He is a fantastic hire and someone the team will need.
According to Wolves chairman Jeff Shi, Julen is a quality coach with outstanding expertise at the highest level of the game, and we are thrilled to have reached an agreement to bring him to Wolves.
