UK families who have received the first cost of living payment of £326 from the government are now awaiting the second payment of £324. The Department of Workers and Pensions website stated that October 31 was the last qualifying day.

Child Tax Credit; you can get up to £3,480 for the first child and up to £2,935 for your other children till they turn 16. You can claim till 20 if they remain in approved education or training.
Working Tax Credit; this is to boost the income of working people who are working but have a low income.
It has been informed that eligible people received the first payment of the Cost of Living in September.
The Department of Workers and Pensions website had come out with a notice that the second payment of the cost of living would be made no later than October 31, 2022. However, an update later stated that October 31 was the last qualifying day.
Hence it is assumed that payment would be made after October 31 and not as initially planned. There have been no updates, and a DWP spokesperson confirmed that they would provide an answer as soon as possible.
