Glasgow and Liverpool are the last two UK cities competing to host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. Liverpool has been recognised as a Unesco City of Music because of its rich musical heritage and widespread recognition as the birthplace of The Beatles.
However, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow is depicted in the Netflix original film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. At one time, this city was considered a frontrunner to host the UK's entry.
The Eurovision Broadcasting Union (EBU) decided that the country could not host the competition the following year due to the high probability of Russian airstrikes and massive casualties.
Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Liverpool were all chosen last month to host the 2023 international tournament on behalf of Ukraine.
Initially, factors like having an international airport and a large enough venue to host at least 10,000 people were considered while placing cities in order.

The away kit looks smart, but the blue shorts that'll be worn by players on their travels, has divided the fanbase, as the colour is associated with cross-town rivals, Everton. This black third kit is one of the sleekest designed by New Balance, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the upcoming campaign.
