As the winter transfer window looms, European football clubs are not just planning for the immediate future but also eyeing the next season’s prospects. With over six months left in the current campaign, players across Europe’s major leagues are nearing the end of their contracts, sparking anticipation about potential moves.

The Sporting News has compiled a list of ten top players whose contracts expire in the summer of 2024, potentially setting the stage for significant transfers. Among them is Mario Hermoso, the versatile defender from Atletico Madrid. With clubs like Juventus, Nottingham Forest, and Tottenham in the mix, Hermoso’s defensive prowess positions him as a sought-after asset for teams looking to bolster their backlines.

Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester City, a midfielder excelling in both attack and defense, is another key figure attracting interest. Barcelona and Tottenham, dealing with midfield gaps due to injuries, might eye Ndidi as a potential solution in the January window.

Sheraldo Becker, the Union Berlin striker, despite a challenging season, remains an intriguing prospect. Premier League teams, impressed by his past performances, might rekindle their interest in Becker due to his speed and goal-scoring abilities.

Valentin Barco, pivotal in Boca Juniors' campaign, is on the radar of English clubs like Chelsea and Brighton after an unsuccessful summer move attempt. Barco’s availability in the winter window adds excitement to potential transfers.

Piotr Zielinski (Napoli), Anthony Martial (Manchester United), and Presnel Kimpembe (PSG) are other notable names on the list, each with unique skills and prospective destinations including Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus, among others.
