'Escape to the Chateau' intends to wrap up series in 'emotional' sequences

Angel and Dick Strawbridge completed shooting a very emotional final episode of the "Escape to the Chateau" series. The show first aired in 2016. Ever since then, it has gained a steady following. In the show, Angel and Dick have been trying to restore a 65-room French Chateau to its former glory.

It was just recently confirmed by both of them that the coming ninth season will be the final season of the series.

Both of them appeared on ITV's Lorraine last week and talked about the final shooting. Lorraine had asked them if they would end the show on a high. To which Angel replied that it was just last week when they finished shooting the final, and one would say it was highly emotional. Dick agreed with Angel on that.


Angel also shared that her mother was crying almost all the time, but it was a happy emotion.
