BabyC, an aspiring musician, accuses Eric Akhigbe, an ex-housemate on BBNaija Lockdown, of defrauding her of N5.3 million and then fleeing abroad. Eric participated in the Big Brother Naija version and afterward invested in his body-building company after his expulsion.
According to an exclusive story received by media outlets, BabyC revealed that he and the ex-housemate were friends during their undergraduate days as departmental mates, and he was involved in the program.
According to the popular singer, she came out to Eric for a possible link to a spot in the Season 7 version of the program, which began on July 23 and was then linked to an individual called Nathaniel. Nathaniel, who claimed to be an agent at Multichoice, played BabyC from the beginning until a week before the show's broadcast when he revealed that her name did not cut. Nathaniel received N5.3 million and agreed to pay it back starting in February 2022, according to snapshots of payments supplied.

Days turned into weeks, and then months, of frustration trying to receive a refund, prompting BabyC to contact the Criminal Investigation Department of the State, Panti, which traced the money to an account in Awka, Nigeria's capital city, and arrested the culprit.
Following an inquiry, BabyC discovered that the suspect admitted to being the architect of the con operation, which was masterminded by Eric Akhigbe, who took the return and shared it with all parties involved.
