English FA confirms, Gareth Southgate will continue to lead England. Details here
The Football Association (FA) has confirmed that Gareth Southgate will continue as England manager and lead the team's Euro 2024 campaign.

Southgate's contract was scheduled to expire in December 2024, but he suggested walking away from his role after England's elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. England was knocked out of the World Cup at the quarterfinal stage, where they were defeated by defending champions France, which will now face Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final on December 18.
While expressing his views, Southgate said that he was not sure whether he had the "energy" to keep things going as they are. The England manager said he realised there was much negativity surrounding him and re-considered his position. He also noted that "large parts of the last eighteen months" have been difficult for him.
Southgate said that there were a lot of things in his head that were conflicting. He stated that he wanted to be sure that he had "definitely got the energy" to continue as the manager and that staying was the right thing.
