However, there are reports of long queues for tickets for gaining entry at the All England Club where the prestigious event is being held.

The majority of the empty seats seen in Wimbledon 2024 are at the 'Royal Box', which is reserved for corporate guests, members of the All England Lawn Tennis Club and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), and other renowned dignitaries and veteran players. According to a Metro UK report, visitors at the All England Club may have been spending more times at the venue's bars and restaurants rather than at the matches, which may be the reason why the seats remained empty.

A few games often see long rallies and intense thrill till the last serve, meaning that the next match at the same court may seem empty initially as the spectators may go for refreshments and drinks after a long game.
