Elon Musk's X eyes entry into the world of online dating, say reports
Musk's tumultuous takeover of Twitter last year has brought about significant changes to the platform, including its renaming to X. Since his acquisition, X has seen a decline in both advertisers and users and has undergone a series of job cuts, a...

Previously, Musk has stated that X should compete with a range of platforms, from YouTube and LinkedIn to FaceTime and banking apps, to become a one-stop solution for users' diverse needs. Now, the Tesla CEO is looking to introduce a dating app-like feature, allowing people to seek romance within the platform, as reported by The Verge.
During an internal meeting commemorating one year since Musk's acquisition of Twitter for a staggering $44 billion, the owner of X, alongside CEO Linda Yaccarino, conveyed the company's swift transition from "Twitter 1.0" to the "everything app."
Referring to the recent X update, which enables verified organisations to post job listings, Musk emphasised that a person's X posts can serve as a pivotal indicator for potential job hires.
"I think the same is true on the romantic front. Finding someone on the platform. Obviously, I found someone, and friends of mine have found people on the platform. You can tell if you're a good match based on what they write," he pointed out.
To this, Ms. Yaccarino humorously inquired, "So, X Dating around the corner then?"
Musk responded with a nod, "Yeah. There's already some activity in that regard. But I believe we can enhance the dating experience. Part of the challenge is how you discover interesting individuals. Discovery is a challenge."
