Elle Edwards murder: Third person arrested over fatal shooting in Merseyside pub on Christmas Eve

Police have arrested a third person associated with the murder of Elle Edwards. Edwards, 26 was shot dead at a Merseyside, North West England pub on Christmas eve. Police have already arrested one man and a woman on suspicion of murder.

Edward, a beautician, was celebrating Christmas eve at the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey Village with her friends when she was shot just before midnight on December 24. The shootout also left a 28-year-old man fatally shot and three other people injured.

Merseyside police arrested the third accused from Tranmere. Police said that he was in custody when the authorities questioned him. The second suspect, a 31-year-old man from Tranmere, has been under police custody since December 26 and is being questioned by the authorities.


The third accused in the murder is a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry, Wirral, who was also arrested on December 26.

The gun used in the murder has not yet been found. Police have appealed to the public to provide any information they have about the shooting.

Ian Critchley, the deputy chief constable, said that police are urging the public to provide indiscriminate information on the person who pulled the gun trigger. He also appealed to inform the police if anyone had any information regarding the gun used in the shootout.

The Police were looking for the area’s CCTV footage and urged the public to share pictures or videos of the unfortunate event if they have any on their mobile. The forensic team is searching the pub for any sensitive material and fingerprints.
