Debicki's portrayal of Princess Diana in her final days has garnered attention for its "uncanny empathy," according to Andrew Morton, the author of Diana's 1992 biography. Morton, who collaborated closely with Diana on the book, commended Debicki for capturing the complexities of Diana's life—a woman navigating personal challenges amid public scrutiny.


The actress's final appearance in the role follows her Emmy-nominated performance in the fifth season. The upcoming season is set to portray Diana's last days before her tragic death in a car crash on August 31, 1997.

Speaking about her experience playing Princess Diana, Debicki shared insights at The Crown's premiere, expressing that she "learned a lot" about the character. She emphasized Diana's sense of humor, resilience, and progressive use of her voice during challenging times. The first part of The Crown's final season is scheduled to debut on Netflix on November 16, with the concluding part arriving on December 14.
