Recent update on the injury of Charlie Patino is positive, as per reports. Blackpool's Patino suffered a severe injury on August 16 during a game against QPR. The 18-year-old midfielder started the game on a high note but injured his foot after falling awkwardly on the ground during the match.
Soon after Patino fell to the ground, his ankle swelled severely.
According to Charles Watts, who covers the Arsenal team for Goal.com, the early signs of Patino's injury look positive. Watts reported that Patino was at Arsenal after getting treatment for the damage and later returned to Blackpool.
The initial medical assessment suggests that Patino will be able to return to the playing squad soon. But the Arsenal young talent is likely to return to the field on the sidelines for now. Currently, Patino is on loan with Blackpool and has made a significant impact with his recent performances.
The next day of his injury, Patino was in attendance for the u21 game against Arsenal on August 17 at Boreham Wood's ground. It provided Arsenal with an opportunity to conduct a medical assessment of their own on the 18-year-old young star.

However, there is no official announcement on when Patino will be able to join the playing eleven for Blackpool. An official communique in this regard is expected on August 19, when Blackpool's boss Michael Appleton will attend a press conference.
The press conference is scheduled for the team's upcoming encounter against Burnley, which will kick off on August 20.
Earlier, Appleton had sparked fears of serious lay-off in his post-match comments. He had also talked about Patino's injury, stating that the midfielder's ankle was "badly swollen."
Appleton also said to avoid jumping to conclusions as there were chances that further medical assessments could reveal more damages.
