Donegal petrol station explosion: Latest death toll, investigation, and all other updates

On Friday, at an Applegreen petrol station in the village of Creeslough in Co Donegal, a severe explosion took place that killed seven people.

According to recent reports, in the explosion that happened at a gas station in Co Donegal, Ireland, seven people were confirmed dead, and several were severely injured. Some are still trapped in debris as the search and rescue operations continue.

The service centres of Applegreen and other buildings surrounding the gas station are also severely damaged.


After the incident occurred in the afternoon, primary emergency response operations involving the first reactors were still ongoing till late at night.

John Joe Duffy, the local priest, also extended his condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased. Father John Joe Duffy stated he was "devastated and numb." He also appealed to the country to pray for the people of Creeslough.
