The departing Time Lord Jodie Whittaker, who is known as the first woman to take up the position in the history of sixty years, said that the 29-year-old Ncuti Gatwa's casting is brilliant and acknowledged texting him lengthy voice messages and videos.

Fortunately for Ncuti, Jodie has matured enough to simply be pleased to see the Sex Education star take up the job she has done since 2017.

In a recent interview, the 40-year-old actor said that, unfortunately for Ncuti, he gave her his phone number. As a result, she sent him eight-minute monologues via WhatsApp. She said that his casting is excellent. He's going to nail it.
