Lady Louise Windsor, Queen Elizabeth II's 18-year-old granddaughter, enrolled in St Andrews University to study English just two days before the death of the longest-reigning British monarch.
Lady Louise has gone to Balmoral to be with her family. On Saturday, she accompanied her mother and Princess Anne, her husband, and the Queen's grandchildren, Zara Tindall, Peter Phillips, and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice visited Balmoral to observe tributes left for the Queen.
Later, the princess was spotted in a black car with her father, the Earl of Wessex, joining other royal family members and proceeded to a prayer session at the neighboring Crathie Kirk church, a modest chapel visited by Her Majesty during her visits to Balmoral. St Andrews is only a two-hour journey from the Queen's Scottish home, where she spent her dying moments.
Lady Louise began the academic year on a sweet note, having gained her place at the famous University after attaining the requisite marks in her A Level exams.
A spokesman from the royal family confirmed earlier this year that, since she got great results, Lady Louise will join St Andrews University in September to study English.
