‘Dancing on Ice’ star Michelle Heaton reveals brutal injuries she suffered while training for show

Michelle Heaton, a star of the ITV show Dancing On Ice, has spoken out about the terrible injuries she received while preparing for the show.

The 43-year-old ex-Liberty X singer is one of 11 celebs competing on the ice rink for the title of champion, along with TOWIE star Joey Essex and Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu.

The tough battle, which is hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and judged by Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, and Oti Mabuse, begins on Sunday.


Just a few days before the 2023 season of the popular show debuted, Michelle made an appearance on Thursday's episode of Loose Women and discussed her rigorous training schedule.

“You’re falling over all the time, aren’t you?” said Nadia Sawalha, who was a panellist on the afternoon programme alongside Carol McGiffin, Judi Love, and Charlene White.

Carol, on the other hand, made fun of the fact that the former pop singer could need a "cushion in her pants" during the demanding exercises.



On the advice of her ice skating partner, Lukasz Rózycki, who was in the crowd, Michelle admitted she did check into specialised bottoms that were laced with foam, but she confessed she just 'couldn't do it' because it was 'so embarrassing.'

She continued, I have been guarded up because I have been “wearing knee pads and helmets."

With the exception of holiday skating sessions with her kids, Michelle claimed to have "never skated before," but she did acknowledge she didn't anticipate it would be "that difficult."

Carol asked whether she has an injury or not. Michelle replied that she has got a bit of whiplash in her neck.
