Dan Walker was taken to the hospital on Monday After being struck by a car while riding his bike. The popular Channel 5 broadcaster said he considered himself fortunate to be alive. The 45-year-old's followers were shocked by the close call, which left his face covered in blood and his nose completely swelled.

Dan tweeted photos of himself in the ambulance's rear seat. He thanked the NHS for responding to his situation so swiftly, but said that despite colliding with the ground, he had not fractured any bones.




"Bit of an accident this morning. Glad to be alive after getting hit by a car on my bike. Face is a mess but I don’t think anything is broken. Thanks to Shaun and Jamie for sorting me out and the lovely copper at the scene. This is my smiling" Dan Walker tweeted.

Walker also said he was 'Thankful' to the NHS.

His gruesome photographs startled many people, and they sent him get-well wishes. He was hailed by a fellow broadcaster named Mark Clemmit who said, "Buddy. Many thanks from us."
