Dame Ann Gloag, Stagecoach Group co-founder, charged in link with human trafficking investigation
Dame Ann Gloag is one of the four people charged in link with an investigation into alleged human trafficking, police have revealed.

Scottish transport multimillionaire Gloag’s spokesperson said that Gloag ‘strongly disputes’ the ‘malicious allegations that are made against the 80-year-old, according to reports. The spokesperson, however, denied going into details of an ongoing investigation. The Scottish transport tycoon’s spokesperson also said that her entire family ‘vigorously’ defend her.
Dame Ann Gloag, along with brother Brian Souter co-founded the Stagecoach bus company in 1980. She was made a dame in 2019 owing to her business and charity work. Her company is also the biggest bus and coach operator in the UK, which is now managed by DWS infrastructure.
