Cristiano Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, has showered praises for Portuguese journalist Luis Osorio, who called Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag a "miserable footnote" in the history of football and abused him.

Aveiro's response has come after Ronaldo recently said in an interview that he did not respect Ten Hag. Earlier, besides Ten Hag, the Portuguese star also criticised Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and Ralf Rangnick in an interview with Piers Morgan. Ronaldo said that he felt betrayed by the English football club.

Now, Aveiro has taken to social media to criticise Ten Hag. She did it by sharing and commenting on Osorio's post. In an open letter, Osorio described the 37-year-footballer as someone, who designed his own life and called the Manchester United manager "a miserable footnote in football history." The open letter also explained the inspiring journey of Ronaldo. Aveiro shared this open letter on her Instagram account with the clapping emoji. Katia, Ronaldo's sister, also shared the post with a caption that read, "It's worth reading."
