His slanderous comments were picked up by a microphone nearby where he said about a woman that she was as boring as a girl you meet in a pub and thinks that you want to be with her but you won’t.


David was also heard maligning an elderly contestant in the same show. He called the elderly pensioned person names no less than three times. However, the actor apologized for his comments later.

Following a backlash after the incident, fellow judge Simon Cowell declined to guarantee that he would be able to keep his job. He told the reporters that they could ask him about David’s suspension from the job in a few weeks. However, no official statement has come on David quitting the role in BGT.
