Cody Fisher: Two arrested on suspicion of murder of footballer in Birmingham nightclub

Two suspects have been arrested from London and Birmingham in Cody Fisher murder case. The police are further investigating the matter and have asked public to come forward and contribute to the investigation.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder of footballer Cody Fisher at a nightclub in Birmingham. Fisher, a 23-year-old semi-footballer, was stabbed at the Crane nightclub on Boxing Day.
A 22-year-old accused of murdering Fisher was arrested in Birmingham on Tuesday night by West Midland Police. The second accused, a 21-year-old, was arrested in London.

Cody Fisher was stabbed around midnight when a group of people approached him on the dance floor. He was taken to the hospital but declared dead after 30 minutes. Fisher, who was a semi-professional footballer, played for Stratford Town FC. After hearing the unfortunate news, the team manager broke down and paid his tribute.

The grieving family of Cody Fisher, said in a statement said that they had lost their best friend. The family asked for privacy and respect during the tough time. His partner Jess Chatwin in a tweet said that Fisher did not deserve it. She said that she was sorry that it had happened to him.

The police are further investigating the matter. Police have asked the public to come forward and help in the investigation. Police has also directed the public to submit any videos or photos related to the incident on the Twitter feed of the force.

In a statement, Ian Ingram, DCI of West Midlands Police, said that the police are making good progress in the matter and are building a better picture of what happened that night. The police got a good public response and managed to get a few witnesses of the incident and pictures of the night. Ingram added that it is very important to hear from everybody who witnessed the incident that night, no matter how insignificant.
Friends and co-players of Fisher have paid their tribute. They have posted the pictures and their messages on social media for the 23-year-old.
