CMA fines three firms for fixing Rangers FC merchandise price

In their recent investigation, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) found out that Elite Sports and JD Sports violated competition law by fixing the retail prices of several Rangers-branded-copy gears and more clothing products from September 2018 to July 2019. The fine imposed on Elite Sports is £459,000. JD Sports was fined £1,485,000 while Rangers were fined £225,000. The three firms admitted to being illegally involved as the penalties comprised a settlement concession.
