Chester by-election: Rishi Sunak fails first test, claims Angela Rayner
According to Angela Rayner, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak just lost his first electoral test against the Labour representative in the Chester by-elections. Samantha Dixon was the selected candidate with a 61 per cent vote share.

Angela Rayner, the deputy leader of the Labour party, made several statements after the conservative party lost to the Labour representative. She said, "Voters have shown their distrust and disbelief by giving out their message against the conservative party."
What was the final result of the Chester by-election?
The Chester by-election was won by the Labour representative Samantha Dixon. She received 17,309 votes, whereas the conservative representative received somewhere around 6000. The difference was around 11000 votes, making it a comfortable win for the Labour with a 61 per cent vote share. The Conservative party came in second place with a 22 per cent vote share, followed by the Liberal Democrats with an 8 per cent vote share.

Samantha Dixon also went on air to say, "People are voting for change, and Tories are on borrowed time". If the Labour manage to swing 12 per cent vote share from the Tories, they will be able to win over the national majority.
