First time on British television, Channel 4 will broadcast the dissection of a woman who died of rare cancer. The woman, Toni Crews, hailed from Deal and was just 30 years old when she died.

She battled with the disease, which started in her tear duct, for four years.

The mother of two passed away after her adenocarcinoma returned for the third time in August 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic hurt her chances of undergoing a clinical trial to get her chemotherapy-resistant disease treated. After her death, Toni Crews became the United Kingdom's first person to donate her body for public display.

Channel 4 has announced a new documentary, "My Dead Body," showing Toni's body being dissected. The documentary will narrate the story of Toni's illness before and after her death.

The programme aims to educate people about a "one in a million" cancer. The documentary has been narrated by Toni Crews, as the makers have used voice-replicating technology. It will feature interviews with Toni's family and home video footage.

Channel 4's commissioning editor, Anna Miralis, stated that the "landmark documentary" would bring together the latest in cutting-edge technology and anatomical science to narrate how a young mother fought bravely against a rare form of cancer. Miralis added that Toni had given them a unique and extraordinary insight into the rare disease journey.
