Catherine Tate, David Tennant return to 'Doctor Who'

Actors Catherine Tate and David Tennant are returning to Doctor Who on the sixteenth anniversary of the show. It is also BBC's hundredth anniversary in 2023. This, however, is not their first return to the show together. The two stars reprised their roles in 2016 for The Tenth Doctor Adventures of the Big Finish.

Big Finish has made a cottage industry in Doctor Who's original audio spin-offs. They have tried to include as many original cast members as possible and have revolved the stories around the show's minor and some major characters. Death And The Queen, Time Reaver, and Technobubble came out in 2016. Fast forward to 2022, BBC will broadcast them on BBC Radio 4 Extra's comedy/drama archive radio. It will also stream Doctor Who for a month minimum without any cost worldwide.

There are many fans of the show who aren't aware of Big Finish dramas. Hence, there will be a re-brand with the name of Doctor and Donna adventures. It would come with BBC's original drama Doctor Who: Redacted.

David Tennant is extremely excited about his reprisal and says there is a lot to come that people don't know. Tennant is a fan favorite and has a massive fan following.
