It is alleged that Taylor Swift's Eras Tour security cost UK taxpayers $1 million. It's going to be a lot of dollar signs and reports about Taylor Swift's UK leg of her Eras tour, so buckle up for this one.

After a terrorist plot was thwarted, Swift was forced to postpone three concerts in Vienna, Austria, as many fans are aware. She has increased security since then, which makes sense, but it seems that all of the extra protection has come at a high cost, as quoted in a report by SheKnows.

The Metropolitan Police now have to pay almost $1 million in taxpayer funds for the additional security. The US Sun claims that providing security for each of Swift's UK performances cost the Met about $880,000. Swift's group also asked for $200,000 worth of security measures, such as a blue-light escort.

They provided 1,100 police officers for about $85,000 per night, and by the time she returned in August, that amount had grown to almost $130,000.

It is alleged that Swift's mother, Andrea, who also serves as her manager, negotiated the padded security changes with authorities. According to a report, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper even stepped in to persuade the Met to loosen some regulations.

Today, Swift will wrap up her Eras tour in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8. Her UK shows went extremely well, and while she was there, her boyfriend Travis Kelce made an appearance on stage.
