Police evacuate houses as blasts occur and a massive volume of chemicals catch fire at an industrial estate.

Early this morning, the Cannock Industrial Centre was warned to maintain a strategic distance for their safety. People living nearby the industrial area shared videos of the big fire, with others reporting they heard fireworks exploding at the complex. However, a Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokeswoman stated that many chemicals were involved in the fire.

People describe the horrifying scene.
By around 8.30 am, eight fire units were reportedly extinguished, and the firefighters were on the scene. Giant balls of fire were seen from the close M6 toll in videos and images shared on social media, as well as smoke billowing over the scene.

One person shared that a chemical facility had caught fire at an industrial building off Walkmill Lane in Cannock, but the news was not confirmed. Another person shared a picture of fire and smoke and jokingly said, "Well, something's gone with a bang near Cannock." Earlier, before seeing the large cloud of smoke, it sounded like fireworks, said another person.

Some mistook fire explosions for thunder
\Some claimed that loud popping noises awakened them, and some took it as the sound of thunder. One of the residents stated that the noise was frightening because he was close to Longford House and initially believed it to be the fireworks location.

To keep the situation under control, for the time being, residents have been advised to avoid the area as the fire is still active. According to the reports, nobody was hurt in this incident.
