'Ted Lasso' dominated the 2022 Emmy Awards. The show won the Best Comedy - Series for the second year in a row.

'Hacks' star Jean Smart won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series Award for the HBO Max show. She looked stunning in a white, off-shoulder gown as she walked the red carpet.

'Ted Lasso' star Jason Sudeikis once again took the top honour for Actor in a Comedy Series. He took his first Emmy home last year for his 'Ted Lasso' role. Earlier this year, he grabbed the Golden Globe Award for 'Best Television Actor - Musical/Comedy Series' for the same show.

'Abbott Elementary' star Sheryl Lee Ralph made history as she became the second Black winner to win the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Award for her performance in the series. The first Black winner was Jackee Harry for '227' in 1987.

The victory started coming in early for 'Ted Lasso' when Brett Goldstein the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Award for his performance in the show. He won for the second year in a row, the award's first back-to-back winner since Jeremy Piven for 'Entourage' in 2007.

Rapper Lizzo got emotional when she received her first Emmy award. 'Lizzo's Watch Out For The Big Grrrls', the Amazon Prime Video hosted by the singer, won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Competition Program.

'Ted Lasso' director MJ Delaney accepted the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. All eyes were on her when she walked the red carpet in a bright sunny dress with a plunging neckline.

'Succession' grabbed the highest honor of the night - Best Drama - Series award, beating 'Euphoria', 'Ozark', 'Severance', 'Squid Game', 'Stranger Things' and 'Yellowjackets'. The show was nominated in 14 acting categories this year.

Zendaya won yet another Emmy for her performance in 'Euphoria'. She took home the award for 'Best Lead Actress in a Drama' for her portrayal of Rue Benett in 'Euphoria'. She won her first in 2020 for the same series.
