Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the team manager for Manchester United and continued for three years until he was sacked in 2021. The Norwegian wasn’t very popular among Manchester United fans.
Solskjaer failed to bring any trophies to Old Trafford and was viewed as unsuccessful as Manchester United failed to make a decent show of themselves during his tenure. In charge for two full seasons, Manchester United finished 33 points behind Liverpool, the champions of the English Premiere League (EPL) in 2020 and 12 points behind Manchester City, the champions of the 2021 season.
When Ten Hag came along as manager of Manchester United, the team lost their first two matches under him, but notched up four victories on the trot after that and came fifth in the EPL table. Bruno Fernandes claimed that Erik Ten is more discipline-conscious than his predecessor, Ole Solskjaer. Bruno Fernandes appreciated Erik Ten’s style and the way he thinks about football. The manager is strict about his rules, and everybody has to toe the line. The man (Erik Ten) has an idea and a style, he says, and Bruno Fernandes loves that. Discipline is what distinguishes winners.

The Champions of Europe will play in an all-red strup, with the crest and the manufacturer logo in gold. The vertical pinstripes are a throwback to kits worn by the Reds in the 1980s. The away kit looks smart, but the blue shorts that'll be worn by players on their travels, has divided the fanbase, as the colour is associated with cross-town rivals, Everton. This black third kit is one of the sleekest designed by New Balance, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the upcoming campaign.

The Red Devils home kit pays homage to the team that won the Treble in the 1998/99 season. The crowning achievement of the campaign was European glory, clinched by last gasp goals from Teddy Sherringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against a strong Bayern Munich side. The latter currently plies his trade by the technical area at Old Trafford. The timing of those goals in that match find mention on the kit's shirt sleeves. The dates when they won all three pieces of silverware that season, are also displayed at the bottom of the shirt.
