British singer-songwriter Craig David has spoken up about how a back injury put him in such much pain that he became depressed. The "7 Days" singer said that he was unable to move because of the problem, which involves a deteriorating disc in his spine between the lumbar spine and the sacral spine in his lower back. David, 41, claimed he was plunged into a melancholy spiral because the agony was so intense that he couldn't move.

In an interview, he stated that his world was closing in on him, that he needed to get rid of the anguish, and that he went to a dark place where he did not believe he would survive. He never got to the point where he was considering methods to end things, but he felt that life wasn't worth living and that he would be happier if he wasn't here.
