In a scene straight out of Hollywood thriller 'Jaws', an eight-year-old British boy was attacked by multiple sharks when he was holidaying with his family in the Bahamas. The boy named Finley Downer suffered severe injuries, with "chunks of flesh" hanging out from both his legs. Fortunately, the boy was saved by his twelve-year-old sister.
Finley's father, 44-year-old Michael Downer, had booked a luxurious summer holiday with family, including his three kids - Finely (8), Lily (9), and Emily (12). The luxurious holiday package included an excursion to five islands and guided swimming with iguanas and pigs.
Michael told The Sun that his kids saw sharks shiver in a lagoon nearby, and they went over to that point. Later, he heard a scream and noticed that several people were standing surrounding Finley. According to Michael, the shark attack had severely injured both legs of Finley, and there was a lot of blood on the spot.
Finley could have lost his life in the attack, added Michael. Besides, he stated the horrific incident was like a scene from the movie Jaws.
According to Finley's father, the eight-year-old terrified boy kept saying that he did not want to die and go to heaven.
Soon after his sister saved Finley, he was rushed to the nearest hospital by a golf buggy. Later, Michael Downer booked a £2,000 flight to take Finley to Nassau, where the latter underwent an operation for his wounds.

The Downer family has returned to their home in Northants. However, Finley has been using a wheelchair.
Meanwhile, Michael has expressed his anger at tour guides who told his children that sharks were not dangerous. However, the tour operator, Exuma Escapes has clarified that the family went to the incident spot without a guide. The tour operator also said that the lagoon where the incident happened was not listed under the trip.
