King Charles is eventually expanding his wedding venue portfolio in Scotland with plans to upgrade Dumfries House shortly after proposing to convert part of Balmoral Estate into a wedding venue. According to People, the new facility at Dumfries House aims to provide high-end wedding packages and will replace the current arrangements which will be including ceremonies in the Tapestry Room and receptions in a temporary marquee that some believe detracts from the historic character of the A-listed building.

People reported that the proposed venue will feature a large ballroom-style room as an extension to the east wing while accommodating up to 200 guests.

Plans have been already been submitted to East Ayrshire Council with a decision expected in the month of December, asserted People. This certain initiative is a part of King Charles's broader strategy to enhance revenue streams from royal properties while ensuring the ongoing conservation of Dumfries House.

Since its acquisition in the year of 2007, Dumfries House has become a significant visitor attraction while employing over 150 people and hosting various activities, noted People. The King’s Foundation put an emphasis on the fact that the new pavilion will not only improve architectural aesthetics but also provide income to support the estate's conservation efforts.
