Savannah Marshal has a WBO belt but has an advantage in facing off with Claressa Shields in 2012, where she defeated the USA boxer in points. Both players have a solid adversarial attitude towards each other, and neither likes to budge. The anger between them will likely unfold on Saturday, and the stronger individual will prevail.

The two boxers also had a bitter exchange when the MC asked questions. The question was directed at Savannah whether she has respect for Claressa Shields. Savannah replied that she had immense respect for her but didn’t like how Claressa ran down opponents.

Claressa asked Savannah whether she would knock her down. Savannah never mentioned knocking down Claressa, and whether or not that happens is a different issue. Claressa said that what was happening was a charade, and she finds this comical more than anything else. Another point that Shields made against Marshall: the latter didn’t bring her Championship belt along as is the norm.

Marshall said she would respond to Claressa’s questions in the ring on Saturday, and that fight would be worth the wait for her blood, sweat, and tears.

Shields was more forthright in her criticism of Savannah and accused her of playing truant for ten years after defeating Shields in 2012. Shields has, since that defeat, won 2 Olympic gold medals and numerous professional bouts in the last ten years. Shields says these “bums” want to wipe off what she has been able to do in the world of boxing for the past ten years.

Savannah claimed that Claressa would get hurt on Saturday because of her bullying attitude. Claressa replied that she would meet Savannah in the ring and that she should keep her belt warm until such time.
