Billionaire Elon Musk says that a business dealing in robots will be more valuable than cars in an effort to move past self-driving cars, which despite his repeated promises has not yet materialised.

At the electric vehicle manufacturer's "AI Day" event that recently took place, CEO of Tesla Elon Musk displayed his highly publicised humanoid robot, Optimus.

The robot's prototype entered the stage and waved to the spectators sitting in their seats. The robot was seen in a video carrying a box, moving metal bars and watering plants in the Elon Musk's automobile factory.


At the presentation hosted in California, Musk stated that their goal is to develop one of its kind usable humanoid robot. He added that to perfect Optimus and to demonstrate it, there is still much work to be done.




Musk claimed that present humanoid robots are without a brain, lacking the intelligence to independently traverse the world.

In contrast, he claimed, the Optimus will be a very capable robot that will be produced in huge production, and be considerably less expensive, coming in at under $20,000.

Musk is also anticipated to talk about Tesla's long-due self-driving technology. He said that the most powerful and valuable automaker in the world would be worth nothing at all if they did not manage to achieve full self-driving capability. In addition to technological difficulties, the corporation is under more and more governmental investigation.
